Helicopter, funfair, fireworks: this Calvados village is transformed for Ascension

It became a appointment not to be missedevery year: the village of Cahagnes, in Calvados, is transformed, on the occasion of Ascension Thursdayand the following weekend.

Go directly to the town for these three annual days, punctuated by activities for young and old.

The program for the Feast of the Ascension of Cahagnes

Thursday May 9

→ A garage sale will be offered throughout the day. Reservations possible on 06 86 97 58 56. Price: €2 per meter.

→ 7 a.m. Cannon fire. Meet at the town hall for the departure of the “Navette Cahagnaise”.

→ 8 a.m. Tripe morning (price: €10 per portion with wine and cheese included).

→ 10:30 a.m. Mass in music with the Aunay-sur-Odon fanfare.

→ 11:30 a.m. Wine reception in the multipurpose room.

→ From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exhibition of documents and books on the 80th anniversary of the Landing at the library, organized by the Lake.

→ From 2 p.m. Start of helicopter first flights. Adult price: €55. Price for children under 12: €45. Registration required on 06 62 54 02 25. Opening of the funfairat the same time as the raffleand makeup for kids.

→ 7 p.m. Concert from the Mezzo Musique group.

→ 9:30 p.m. Torchlight procession with the Aunay-sur-Odon fanfare. And the appointment is given at the stadium for the traditional fireworks.

Saturday May 10

→ 1:30 p.m. Competition petanque (price: €10 per doublet).

Sunday May 11

→ 6 p.m. Aperitif offered by the Cahagnes festival committee to the residents to close the festival.
