The general construction company Le Bâtiment Charentais, which employs 27 employees in Fléac, is changing hands. Dominique Poupeau, the boss of Futurinov, owner of the Moulin de l’Abbaye business campus in La Couronne, has just taken over the reins of this SME, notably specialized in masonry, placo, tiling… “Matthieu Tribot had bought this company at the start of Covid and has since struggled to maintain turnover. He wanted to hand over but remains the company’s sales representative,” explains Dominique Poupeau.

He wanted to add a construction company to his bow. “To be less dependent on deadlines in all the work I order,” he explains. Owner of the Moulin de l’Abbaye, he also bought the old COFPA to create the Agora, before reselling the shares but remaining in the management of the occupation of this place, he also bought the wasteland of Leroy Somer at Les Agriers in Angoulême, and is currently at the helm of a housing construction project for students at the Airbus Academy. “The Charentais building today has a turnover of 3 million euros but I think I can make 1 to 1.5 million more per year,” he projects. “Just with the volume of business from my other projects, it will be 500,000 to 1 million, the network will do the rest.”
