Some would be tempted to make the connection with the attacks which took place this weekend in Sevran, in the Paris suburbs. Shootings against a backdrop of drug trafficking, which left three dead between Friday and Sunday.

But what happened in Pont-à-Mousson on Friday evening is of a completely different order.

At around 9 p.m., two men were talking inside a car parked on Place Thiers, in front of the shops, right next to the station.

The attacker flees

One is the companion of the other’s former wife. According to information taken from the investigation by the OPJ (judicial police officers) at the Pont-à-Mousson police station, the discussion was cut short.

The victim, from the Pont-à-Mousson area, got out of the car but the attacker, a Mosellan, then caught up with her and stabbed her in the abdomen.

The attacker then got back into his car to flee.

Placed in police custody on Saturday

The SMUR, firefighters and police officers from Pont-à-Mousson quickly went to the scene.

A compression weight was carried out, the victim was bleeding a lot. She was transferred to the emergency room but her vital prognosis was not in jeopardy. She was still hospitalized this Monday morning.

The attacker finally went spontaneously to the Sarreguemines police station on Saturday morning, was immediately placed in police custody and then interviewed by investigators from the Pont-à-Mousson police station.

Brought to the Nancy court this Monday morning, he was to be tried in immediate appearance.
