Intense rain and hail fell on several towns in Dordogne. Firefighters carried out dozens of interventions on Sunday, after the storm passed between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., to empty cellars and houses, reports France Bleu Périgord. According to Enedis, there were up to 600 homes without electricity. They are all supposed to have power back on this Monday.
According to the mayor of Mouleydier, the storm even turned into a tornado as it passed through his town. “Several trees are down and one of them fell on a car,” he testified in South West.
