A man suspected of having shot a police officer arrested in Gard

More than a year after the numerous riots which broke out all over France on the sidelines of Nahel’s death, four people were arrested Nimes (Gard), confirms a police source to Actu.fr. One of them is suspected of having shot a police officer on June 20, 2023, in the sensitive district of Pissevin.

An operation was carried out by the RAID and the judicial police, Rue de MascardTuesday 1^is October 2024.

“The hearings of these four men are still in progress,” specifies a source close to the investigation, more than a year after the opening of an investigation into the attempted assassination of a person holding public authority.

The confusion reigning in the area at the time did not allowidentify the shooter.
