From July 19 to 21, Fraktal Forest will highlight psytrance, forest and dark prog in an idyllic setting. Nestled at the foot of a waterfall, the intimate festival will welcome nearly 500 participants for more than 40 hours of sound.
Fraktal Forest, the love of psytrance
When it comes to events, the association Fraktal Forest is not at its kickoff. These four “exalted du caisson”, all fans of psytrance and its subgenres, have already organized several evenings in the Lille region with the aim of making people dream, make people dance and above all delight enthusiasts.
This year, the collective is organizing its first large-scale event: an eponymous festival in the south of France, in Lozère, with more than 40 hours of chill music, psy tech, dark prog, night psytrance, forest, dark forest, forest scando, dark psytrance or even hi-tech.
The Cascade du Déroc where the Fraktal Forest will take place
The festival will take place from July 19 to 21 in an idyllic, green setting rich in legends. It is in fact in Nasbinals, at the Déroc waterfall in the Aubrac Natural Park that nearly 500 participants are expected to live a unique experience over two days and two nights.
A large place will be given to the decoration and scenography in order to offer a real immersion into the world of Fraktal Forest. It is L’Altro Andrea which will take care of both, between string art and psychedelic decorative elements. As for the mapping, essential for total immersion, it will be managed by the artist Nogoa.
A festival with more than 30 psytrance artists
Coming from different labels, backgrounds and musical genres, around thirty artists will come to bring a breath of eclecticism to the festival. In total, participants will be able to enjoy 43 hours of music with a signature sound system Purple Acoustics.
The first edition of the festival will be an opportunity to celebrate 10 years of Funky Freaks records, the oldest French forest label. Several members will perform live: Akkma and its psychedelic psytrance, Argaleth and its transcendent sounds, without forgetting the mental forest of Fafazz or the duo Spell Conjurers and a live performance of the rare Tool Assisted Monkeys. Exae And Kid will play some very psychedelic DJ sets.

The festival will offer a wide range of performances, sometimes psy tech with Fluoelfsometimes dark prog with Sekoya who will play for the first time in France. Will also be present Mark Dayfounder of the London label Muimina Sounds or even Alien Trancesistor from the famous Indian label Vantara Vichitra records.
Finally, the team of Quadrivium Records will be highlighted with the tropical universe of its founder, Dhatrithe organic psytrance of Krapul as well as Kaayas And IDawa live.
