The Montreal premiere of the film The Little and the Old took place Tuesday evening at the Outremont Theater.
Director Patrice Sauvé and the actors of the feature film – including Gildor Roy, Juliette Bharucha, Vincent-Guillaume Otis and Marilyn Castonguay – walked the red carpet for the occasion. Adapted from the novel of the same title by author Marie-Renée Lavoie, The Little and the Old relates the meeting between a 10-year-old girl with an overflowing imagination (Juliette Bharucha) and her new neighbor, a gruff old man who hides a tender heart (Gildor Roy). The film, which opens across Quebec on Friday, has already been presented in several festivals, including those of Locarno (in Switzerland), Schlingel (in Germany), Quebec and Sudbury, in Ontario.
