It’s a historic start. Artus’ first film A little something extra won over the public from day one. The feature film which was shot in the Drôme sent the counters into panic: nearly 280,000 entries were recorded Wednesday May 1, indicates the specialized site Boxofficepro.

This family comedy recounts the stay of two fugitives in a summer camp for adults with disabilities. In background, the landscapes of Vercors and Valence are sublimated by this beautiful, funny and touching story carried by actors such as Clovis Cornillac and Alice Belaïdi and a troupe of actors with disabilities.

One of the biggest successes

The release of the film has revitalized cinemas, whose attendance had been at half-mast in recent weeks. This comedy is among the biggest French startupsin front Untouchables and that’Did we make it in the end God which had accumulated nearly 200,000 admissions on the day of their release.

A great performance, especially since the film is distributed by the independent Pan Distribution. This manages the distribution of the 470 copies of the film, far from the big American productions which revolve around 700 or even 800. In comparison, A second partreleased on more than 900 copies, attracted 260,000 spectators during its theatrical release.
