It was an act of animal abuse that was talked about last March. Gordo’s owner, an English bulldog then nine months oldhad burned his animal alive.

No longer able to stand the puppy recently purchased with her companion, this young woman ended up burning him alive on nearly 40% of the body with a hairdryer.

A complaint was filed, and the young woman was summoned to appear in court with prior admission of guilt this Monday, September 30 before the judicial court. But, the accused no longer finally recognizing the facts, she is now expected before the criminal court on December 2 next, still in Meaux.

Maniac

“It takes a willingness to make people suffer in order to inflict such serious injuries with this utensiland obviously there was no lack of blame as evidenced by the state of the puppy,” explains, revolted, Anne-Claire Chauvancy d’Action Protection Animale.

She continues: “The young woman justified herself by indicating during her custody that she is very manic and that she could not stand that her puppy, who lived stored under a table of which he had no control right to move, dirty the apartment. »

Annoyed by Gordo, the suspect said she washed him, then wanted to dry him with a hair dryer in the absence of his companion. She then explains thatThe puppy squealed in pain under the heat of the utensilwhich provoked his anger. She then held him down by force, and stuck the hair dryer at full power on his skin.

She will explain that the unfortunate puppy was screaming in pain and trying to run away, which only increased her anger and her desire to make him suffer.

The more Gordo screamed, the more she burned him.

Anne-Claire Chauvancy

“Despite particularly serious injuries, neither she nor her companion considered it necessary to seek treatment for their 9-month-old puppy, who was still suffering torture. It was only when his wounds became terribly infected, more than three days after the incident, that they finally took him to a veterinarian. »

It is finally an anonymous report which will allow the immediate seizure of Gordo directly to the veterinarian.

The hearing postponed

Action Protection Animale was entrusted with the care of Gordo. The association also filed a complaint for act of cruelty against the accused and deprivation of care against his companion.

The investigation carried out by the police station revealed repeated violence against the puppy, on the part of its owner, well before these atrocious events. Gordo had already had to undergo surgery for a hip fracture following violence when he was only three months old.

Subsequently placed in police custody, she admitted the facts and was summoned to appear with prior admission of guilt this Monday, September 30 before the Meaux judicial court.

Problem, that same day, the young woman’s lawyer refused to allow his client to be tried with prior admission of guilt. “I think she will ultimately not recognize the facts,” supposes Anne-Claire Chauvancy. She will therefore appear before the Meaux criminal court on December 2.

How is Gordo today?

Gordo, for his part, will have lifelong consequences. “At the time, he was hospitalized for more than three weeks. He was put back on his feet despite visible scars for life. Unfortunately, subsequently, a bacteria infected him and left him disabled,” laments this member of the Action Protection Animale association.

However, “he is an adorable dog who holds no resentment towards humans despite the hell he has endured. Adorable and very endearing, he only asks for affection and is very happy in his new family. »
