Students in a national maritime school, they set course towards a career as an officer in the merchant navy, but the attachment to patriotic values as well as the desire to accumulate additional skills have led them, in recent days, to follow higher military preparation or PMS, as part of a first reservist contract.
Simulation exercises, learning workshops, theoretical courses… From April 22 until Thursday May 2, these young trainees, gathered at the Toulon Naval Base, carried out daily navigation sessions (on a tugboat), repairs of emergency, rescue or even maintenance in the harbor or in dedicated training structures. This intense program allowed each of them to enrich and extend already solid concepts, all having previously navigated during their course.
