Thirty-seven years after its creation, the Nîmes medical imaging center has become a key player in the health sector in Gard.

On April 9, 2024, the Nemoscan medical imaging center inaugurated a new scanner in a building adjoining the emergency room of the Grand Sud polyclinic in Nîmes, the fifth for the Nîmes company. The latter was created in June 1987 by a handful of local radiologists wishing at the time to install one of the very first scanners in the city of Antonin.

Thirty-seven years later, Nemoscan has become a key player in medical imaging in the region with four sites in Nîmes. bringing together a total of eleven pieces of equipment: five scanners and six MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).
“In 2023, we welcomed just over 86,000 patients, indicates Sébastien Saint-Germain,

the director of the Gard structure also in charge of the management of Imagerie du Var in Toulon. And our forecasts for 2024 indicate nearly 95,000 patients. This figure has been increasing for several years now. »
