Just like Ain, Savoie and Haute-Savoie, the department of Isère is placed, by Météo France, in yellow vigilance for a risk of rain-flood from this Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Here are the weather forecasts in Grenoble and the Isère region.
The entire department concerned
From this Tuesday, October 1, showers, more or less intense, are forecast in Isère. From northern Isère, to the Grenoble basin, via the Alpine massifs, rain is expected across the entire department.
In Grenoble, the showers should be sustained during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. The heaviest amounts of rain are expected in Voiron and to the north of the Chartreuse massif.
Note that the vigilance issued by Météo France should be lifted on Wednesday October 2 at 12 p.m.
A risk of mudslides
According to data from the official meteorology and climatology service in France, the risk of flooding could increase in the coming hours.
The peak of the episode is not expected until the evening and night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
“Given the state of saturation of the soil, it cannot be ruled out that very localized phenomena (such as mudslides for example) may appear in the Alpine departments,” specify the Météo France services.
