The man heard a noise in his garage and went to see what was happening. He discovered a heavily intoxicated individual. While he was restraining him, his wife called the police.

When they arrived, they discovered that the man was wanted and that he had two arrest warrants on his file. He was brought to the station overnight and will appear in court Thursday morning.

A charge of breach of probation will also be added since he had a multi-use knife on him even though it was prohibited for him.

Twice the allowed limit

Wednesday evening and Thursday night for the Saguenay police officers were quite busy with around fifty calls. Added to this were a few checks on the road, including one which led to the arrest of a woman in her thirties.

The motorist, who had not noticed the patrol car behind her, stormed off from the intersection of Sainte-Famille and du Roi-Georges streets in Jonquière. She continued driving dangerously and when the police activated their car’s flashing lights, she almost collided with cars parked on the shoulder.

The intoxicated lady had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her blood.
