The second international Academy “The Songs of Ulysses” ends this Saturday, May 4. It is inspired by the learned societies of the 17th century, on the borders of arts and sciences. A meeting created by Héloïse Gaillard, artistic director of the baroque music ensemble Amarillis and soprano Patricia Petibon.

The two internationally renowned artists decided to pass on their knowledge to future professionals with their own method.

Requirement and kindness

If music and singing remain at the center of training, theater, dance and science are also explored, to nourish both the mind and the body. Makeup and costume workshops and Pilates sessions – to take care of the body and manage stress – complete this valuable learning.

“I realize how lucky we are to have stars at the top of their art, who are at the same time extraordinary teachers. The requirement is accompanied by great kindness” testifies one of the future professionals, Maud Bessard-Morandas.

A restitution show is scheduled for this Saturday, May 4, at 5 p.m., at the Dôme theater in Saumur. FREE ENTRANCE.
