Chief Warrant Officer Belaïd Allek, who died on Friday April 26, 2024 during a motorized intervention in Calvados, received tributes from his colleagues during a ceremony organized this Thursday, May 2, in Caen, and chaired by the Minister of Interior, Gérald Darmanin.

Posthumously decorated

The deceased gendarme was posthumously decorated with the Internal Security medal, gold level, and the National Defense gold medal, bronze medal. He was also made a knight of the National Order of Merit.
