In , the police used tear gas to block the antifas who were demonstrating to denounce the exploitation by the far right of the murder and rape of Philippine.

Several dozen anti-fascist activists gathered at Imbach Square in Angers this Monday, September 30 to denounce the exploitation by the far right of the murder and rape of Philippine, a 19-year-old student whose body was discovered on September 21 in the de Boulogne.

The main suspect is a Moroccan under OQTF. Enough to wake up the extreme right who have made him their scapegoat. While the anti-fascist activists tried to move up rue Émile Bordier, tear gas grenades were thrown by the police.

Surrounded and gassed

Demonstrators were surrounded by police. Some had to take refuge wherever they could, such as in a laundromat. A young woman welcomed protesters into her apartment to protect them.

A few streets away, the ultra-right identity group organized its own rally. On the Place du Ralliement, around 150 people paid tribute to Philippine. The participants dispersed peacefully after praying.
