The Dordogne Departmental Conservatory is organizing a concert in the form of a sound journey on Saturday May 4 at the La Traverse Amphitheater.

Pno one really knows the way to the Archipelago. It is said to be a remote place where mystery reigns, where sounds intertwine and distant cultures meet. There everything moves, complements and exchanges. The established order has given way to experimentation and creation.

Let yourself be carried away on a sound journey combining contemporary music and electronic music around the world.

This musical project was imagined by Charles Offenstein and Kevin Martinez, teachers at the Dordogne Departmental Conservatory. Around thirty students and their teachers embarked on this intercontinental adventure to take the public on a journey through five islets marked by a geographical identity:

New York with Steve Reich, Elliott Carter and hip-hop; Japan with Toru Takemitsu; Scandinavia with Arvo Pärt; Eastern Europe with György Ligeti; The central island is the lighthouse which guides and accompanies all the musicians present in the archipelago through electronic music.

Saturday May 4 at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater of La Traverse, 2 rue Jean Nicot in Bergerac. Free. Reservations recommended on 05 53 45 60 50.
