The Bordeaux Sports Park, future Parc Lescure then Chaban-Delmas stadium, was inaugurated in 1924. To commemorate this centenary, the City is offering a series of events, conferences, visits and exhibitions, from May 14 to 18, 2024, including “the Legends Match” Tuesday May 14, which will bring together personalities and former players of the Girondins de Bordeaux.

Tuesday May 14, 2024

– presentation of the book of photos and news (time to be determined, Lescure stadium). The City organized a news and photo contest to celebrate this anniversary. The 8 winners in each category will be published in a book distributed in bookstores during March (winners designated by a jury of literature and photography professionals).

– hanging of the winning photos on the stadium gates.

– Legends match at 8 p.m.: historic meeting between former Bordeaux players and the Variétés club of France. Ticket sales on the UBB and FCGB websites.

Thursday May 16

– guided tours at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., offered by Bordeaux World Heritagethe city’s architecture and heritage animation service.

– conference at 6:30 p.m. “Lescure, 100 years of… Olympic heritage” with the Préservons Lescure association in the lounge of honor at the Chaban-Delmas stadium (exceptional conference on the history of Parc Lescure, its immense sporting heritage told through the exploits of those who have marked the history of the Olympic Games since 1924 as much as that of a unique site which has welcomed amateur and high-level athletes for 100 years, with Laurent Brun, journalist and author of books on the history of Parc Lescure and Sébastien Renault, passionate about the history of sport in Bordeaux In the presence of guests, former high-level sportsmen and Olympic athletes).

Friday May 17

– guided tours at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., offered by Bordeaux Patrimoine Mondial.

– conference at the end of the day with the Préservons Lescure association.

Saturday May 18

– guided tours at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., on the theme “Lescure, 100 years of… Olympic heritage” with the Préservons Lescure association: discovery of the history of the site, its architectural and sporting heritage.

Open free to all, subject to availability, reservation required.

From April 20 to May 20, 2024 rue Maurice Martin in front of the historic entrance to Parc Lescure, an exhibition in public space (20 faces, 10 Decaux lollipops) presents images from the City’s architecture and heritage department. They will be supplemented by visuals of the upcoming renovation project of the Lescure sports areas.
