A birthday cake to celebrate the first decade of the Lausanne à Table association? No, new! Created by the nine best Lausanne pastry chefs, they will be presented on Sunday June 2 at the Lausanne Palace at 2 p.m. For the price of 30 francs, guests will taste and vote for their favorite dessert.

The event blends into the mass of 50 other announcements which make up the program for this anniversary edition. “Born in 2012 from the desire of the city of Lausanne to organize activities for Taste Week, our Lausanne à Table association was founded in 2014. It now has more than 300 taste artisans,” presents its president. Romano Hasenauer. “We are at the heart of one of the largest wine and agricultural cantons in Switzerland and have become one of the main gastronomic centers of the country.” He remembers the flagship actions of Lausanne à Table in ten years, a meal served at the bottom of the Mon-repos swimming pool, tables set up at the top of the cathedral watchtower: this year a musical meal will be offered at the summit of the Bel-Air tower, the traditional Grande Table des Lausannois, prepared by a team of renowned chefs, will be installed in the City’s greenhouses the last week of August.
