Lyon: a man arrested on rue Paul Bert after a theft

The man was arrested in a drunken state after a break-in committed on rue Paul Bert in 3e district of Lyon.

This Wednesday 1er May, a man was arrested by the police shortly before 2 a.m., following a break-in on rue Paul Bert, in 3e district of Lyon. When they arrived on the scene, the police noted the presence of an individual who matched the description of the victim of the theft.

It is on this rue Paul Bert, not far from the Part-Dieu district, that a series of caravan thefts have been committed in recent weeks.

The suspect was then stopped by the police while he was intoxicated. A pair of glasses which belonged to the victim was notably found in the bag of the individual arrested and placed in police custody.

The 31-year-old suspect, known very unfavorably to the police, will be presented this Thursday, May 2 to the Lyon public prosecutor’s office for an immediate appearance.
