“The restaurant is on the edge of the canal and you can see the boats passing by all day long. It is not in the crowd of the port in the middle of all the other establishments, but remains close to the center,” concedes Laura Beaumes, manager of the restaurant who, After a year of research, admits to having fallen in love with this place. location.

She then did not hesitate to embark on the work, supported by her family and friends. A month later, his fun tavern was born and offered its atmosphere to customers, from Wednesday to Sunday.

Good atmosphere and good humor

In this festive place, several events punctuate the week. Every Friday, singing enthusiasts can indulge in karaoke, while Saturday is reserved for the musical atmosphere and live concerts with local artists and groups. Among them : Greg LaffargueFrench multi-instrumentalist musician, singer, beatboxer and songwriter who spent his childhood in Montpellier, as well as gipsy music groups well known in the region.

For groups, it is possible to privatize the establishment and enjoy these joyful activities together. “There are no karaokes or evenings in the center, it is a lively place that Palavasians need, especially in winter, when everything closes,” emphasizes Laura Beaumes.

To ensure that the party lasts longer, the manager is, with her team, thinking about her opening hours as the summer season approaches: “As there are a lot of tourists in July and August, we will open every day, add concerts and musical entertainment on the terrace.” To support this new dynamic, a server will join the Mamie Rosé team.

House specialties

If fun is the priority, Laura does not forget the catering side, with two signature dishes on the menu: truffle mussels and “Mamie” pasta, made with mussels, prawns and squid, accompanied by a sauce, the recipe of which is kept secret. “It’s a great dish to share to maintain the family atmosphere,” she describes.

For its dishes, the establishment uses fresh produce, and “fish directly collected from fishermen along the canal”. Dishes based on the town’s specialties: “When you live in Palavas, you want to eat fresh fish or seafood”.

When it comes to price, count between 7 and 15 euros for tapas, 12 euros for a skewer of your choice with homemade fries.
