It was a strange call that the Seine- firefighters must have received, May 1, 2024, around 6:40 p.m. They actually intervened on rue de la table de Pierre, in Darnétal, to rescue a lamb. The latter had gotten stuck in a “250mm rainwater drainage pipe”according to firefighters.

The lamb recovered unharmed

Eight firefighters and three engines were mobilized to the intervention to rescue the animal. It was finally with a lasso that the firefighters managed to recover him, unharmed.

Since 2023, the municipality of Darnétal has used the plot located below the cemetery, in the Table de Pierre district, for eco-grazing. Sheep had been installed there a year ago, and had been back since the end of April, according to the town’s Facebook page.
