“The management chose to close the campus following our mobilization, while no action from Tuesday’s protest affected the correct running of classes. This is a punitive measure against students who express on Palestine”they commented in a message sent this morning.

The students also accuse the management of not having responded to their demands and asking them to know the date of reopening of the university, as well as the exam dates.

Three demands formulated

Three demands were made to management at the start of the week. First, that of carrying out investigations into partnerships with Israeli universities.

Then, the use of appropriate vocabulary during communications, in particular those used by the International Court of Justice as “war crimes”.

Finally, stop putting pressure on students by sending emails “to scare us”add the students. “This is not the first sit-in we have done, the occupation is a last resortexplains a student present this morning. We tried every possible means to communicate with management and once again we were not heard. We wonder if they are read.”

Complicated dialogue

Contacted this Monday, the management of Sciences Po recognized the impossibility of finding an agreement on these questions. Since Tuesday, classes have taken place by videoconference.

“[Hier]students on campus met in a General Assembly and all, even those who were less supportive of Tuesday’s action, agreed that action must be taken against unacceptable action by the administration.”the students commented again.
