Strong emotion, sadness and anger around this unclaimed act: this Thursday, May 2, 2024 in the morning, the leaders of the association “Family with a big Heart” discovered offensive and hateful tags painted on the storefront, in rue Boussairolles, near the Place de la Comédie, in Montpellier.
“Asso accomplice, Justice pour Matisse” or even “No to immigration”, as well as a racist drawing in the middle of the big red heart on one of the bay windows, were drawn in black paint. An act which took place that night from Wednesday to Thursday, without any direct witness it seems.
This association is particularly active in hosting young foreigners, who are forced to flee their country, particularly in Africa, because of the homosexuality they claim. They are even outright chased away by their parents. These young refugees LGBT T+ are now housed in a farmhouse in Montpellier.
This morning, the founders of “Family with a Big Heart” say they are disgusted, devastated and scandalized by this act of gratuitous vandalism, without understanding what link there may be with the horrible death of young Matisse in Chateauroux.
We learned this Thursday that in this case, a magistrate is the target of threats, while the teenager’s father is making calls, particularly on social networks, to oppose any political recovery.
There National Police is on site in Montpellier to carry out investigations, in particular to analyze traces, seize and exploit the tapes of video protection cameras of the City of Montpellier, while “Family with a big heart” will file a complaint against X.
