Since Monday April 29, a man has been tried at the Charente Assize Court for murdering a woman during confinement. The 25-year-old man stabbed his victim no less than 72 times on April 19, 2020 in Angoulême.

According to 20 Minutes, the accused acted in such a way because he could not stand the young woman talking about her relationships with her ex-companions and then lost control, stabbing the young woman numerous times. The victim and her attacker were not in a relationship at the time of the incident. The attacker suffers from psychiatric disorders.

The young man would be responsible for his actions according to psychiatrists

Although the attacker is being followed for psychiatric disorders, he was, according to psychiatrists, responsible for his actions at the time of the events. For this reason, he can be judged like any citizen.

For this murder, he faces up to 30 years of criminal imprisonment. The trial must continue for several more days.
