Despite his big defeat by KO at UFC 299, fans are impatiently awaiting the return to business of Benoît Saint-Denis. As he prepares to compete in a grappling match, the controversy surrounding it and Arman Tsarukyan’s package has caused quite a bit of irritation among the public. The criticism was harsh.
Proof that Benoît Saint-Denis is very appreciated in the world of MMA, US fans are just waiting to see him return to an octagon. They even go so far as to try to find him the perfect opponent, while he recently lost to Dustin Poirier. A disappointment which, however, made him aware of his shortcomings and this is perhaps also why he organized a grappling fight against Arman Tsarukyan.
Renowned for being very strong on the ground, the new No. 1 in the lightweight rankings would have allowed the Frenchman to gain a lot of experience. Except that in the wake of the announcement, the superstar canceled… and unsurprisingly, This obviously didn’t please the former soldier at all.. Instead, he will face Briton Marc Diakiese, also in the UFC with a record of 17 victories for 7 defeats in his career.
