Drôme – Romans-sur-Isère – He tells the story behind the scenes of an “exhibition in the image of Jean-Paul Gaultier”

Behind the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition for Stéphane Kélian “Roman of a meeting”, visible until November 3 at the Romans shoe museum, hides Olivier Jault. Parisian shoe collector and stylist, he looks back on the genesis of the project and reveals behind the scenes of this exhibition.

What is your role in this exhibition?

I am a little bit at the origin of it. Living in , I went several times to the Romans Shoe Museum to consult their archives. Very kindly and spontaneously, I was asked the question of what interested in the museum or what was missing, according to my taste. I consider their contemporary collection to be really beautiful. For me, it’s the fashion of the 20the century and especially the second part of the 20the century that will bring people. Me, the first.
