Trained at AJ , François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo made the decision to end his career. A difficult choice at only 29 years old, but which can be explained by a body battered by injuries since 2021. An ordeal that the ex- resident wants to understand. For this, he took the Pfizer and BioNTech laboratories as well as the French Football Federation (FFF) to court to find out if there is a link between his injuries and the Covid vaccine.

March 5, 2022. That evening, François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo came into play against Créteil with Laval in . Ten minutes which will forever remain as the last of his career. The player trained at AJA doesn’t know it yet, but at 26 years old, his life will change. “I had very bad pain in my Achilles tendon and it gave out (March 18, 2022)”, rewinds the native of . The beginning of an ordeal which led to his retirement from sport at just 29 years old a few days ago. “I did everything possible to come back. In more than two years, I haven’t gained a single kilo, I worked to give myself every chance. But after a while, I understood that it was no longer possible,” says François-Xavier Fumu Tamuzo.
