May 1 demonstration in Saint-Étienne
We condemn the fake news against our movement. The LFI of the did not call for the expulsion of Raphael Glucksman of the May 1st demonstration in St Etienne. We condemn the throwing of paint and eggs that may have taken place.

Usually absent from social mobilizations, candidate Glucksmann received a negative reception in the May 1 procession, worthy of that reserved for the Socialist Party of François Hollande, Thierry Mandon or Jean-Charles Naouri. These are union activists, associations, politicians from various organizations and ordinary citizens who gathered to chant with one voice their disapproval of his presence. This was seen as a provocation by the Saint-Etienne demonstrators.

It is regrettable to see him take advantage of this sequence to attack Insoumise by adding his voice to the intimidation exercised by the public authorities who ban his meetings and legally threaten his candidates and parliamentarians. In order to support freedom of expression, we expect firm support from the Socialist Party of the Loire in the face of the attacks we are experiencing.

The moment of political tension we are experiencing deserves better.
