In Senegal, coalitions of political parties and other candidates had until Sunday September 29, 2024 to submit their files to the Ministry of the Interior for the early legislative elections of November 17, 2024. This took several candidates by surprise who were hoping a postponement of the closing date of these deposits.

This decision comes despite an agreement reached on Saturday between political actors and civil society for the postponement of this date. “ We are disappointed, honestly, it must be said.
