French motorcycle Grand Prix at Le Mans: the concert program

The French Motorcycle Grand Prix at Le Mans includes races, meetings with riders, but also concerts! Three shows are scheduled within the circuit (at the AMV fan zone), the evenings of Friday May 10 and Saturday May 11, 2024. Only spectators in possession of a ticket to access the races will therefore be able to attend.

Concerts on Friday May 10

From 9 p.m., the group Engine, formed in 2022 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bol d’or, will open the ball. Four of its members work in the world of motorcycles, we can read on the French Motorcycle Grand Prix website. Daniel Schwarz, the drummer, is a director at Motul. Sébastien Pernel, guitarist, is responsible for Honda France. Xavier de Montchenu, second guitarist, is editor-in-chief of Moto journal. As for Christophe Guyot, he is the boss of the GM94 team in the world endurance championship. They perform under the eye of their manager Bud, publisher of Rock & Folk magazine. Dim, the bassist, also provides vocals. He also collaborates with several poprock groups in the Paris region.

After Engine, it will be Fuzz Top’s turn to ignite the Le Mans crowd. This tribute band pays homage to ZZ Top by trying to get as close as possible to the group’s image. “In figures, it is already more than 500 concerts with an average reached over three years of around 50/55 concerts and 50,000 km per year throughout Europe”specifies the organizer of the Grand Prix on its website.

Concert on Saturday May 11

After the mechanical show scheduled on the pit straight at 7 p.m., the Ladies Ballbreaker will meet you at 9 p.m. for a thunderous concert. This 100% female group made up of five friends, which was formed in 2012 in Montpellier, takes on the legendary AC/DC titles. They offer “a live show tinged with staging and rather inflated humor, a tribute show to AC/DC, […] hard rock monument. »
