The Association of Executives of Radiodiffusion Télévision Sénégalaise (RTS) is breaking its silence after what it considers to be denigration campaigns against their institution. In a press release operated by Senego, ACARTS notably returned to the management of the vehicles of the said company.

“In accordance with Decree No. 2021-03 of 06/01/2021 relating to administrative vehicles, the State of Senegal has undertaken a reform aimed at rationalizing expenses linked to these vehicles. This reform led to the abolition of company cars in certain institutions, including the RTS,” the document reads.

The RTS Board of Directors therefore deliberated to authorize the reform of fifteen company vehicles, in accordance with the aforementioned decree. A procedure has been put in place, involving the intervention of a legal expert and an auctioneer, to formalize the sale of these vehicles to the beneficiaries, according to prices set by the legal expert.

Since this reform, all beneficiaries, including the Director General and the PCA, cover the costs of fuel, maintenance, repairs and insurance of the reformed vehicles. The RTS no longer assumes these charges, inform the executives.

It is also emphasized that the RTS currently has more than seventy service vehicles in circulation in Dakar and the regions.
