It is the Pétanqueurs Graulens who welcome the bowlers on Thursday, at 2:30 p.m., during a triplet event on the Gilbert-Raysséguier bowling alley, rue des Trois Pins (€2).


“From the wilderness to the settlement of a place called Tamarissière”: this is the theme of the conference offered at 6 p.m. by the tourist office in the heart of the city (Place de la Belle Agathoise). Free. Registration on 06 45 82 46 14.


The Agathois Theater, before the concert the next day, organizes a carte blanche at 6:30 p.m. with the jazz pianist Guillaume Marcenac and the Venezuelan percussionist Gerardo Rosales, a salsa specialist, hosted by Paul-Eric Laurès. An exchange around their respective music.

Guided tours
The guided tours of the tourist office continue this Thursday, May 2, with the theme of Grau d’Agde and the Criée. Wander around and discover the history of this unique place where fishermen and captains had to request “entry” to the Port of Agde. Then follow the journey of the fish until it is sold at the Criée, one of the only ones in the Mediterranean that is accessible to the public.

From 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., set off to explore the coastline, from the sea to the dunes and unlock the secrets of the beach and its inhabitants.

The Agde museums offer a series of activities aimed at young audiences. Thursday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., visit on the theme of manufacturing techniques and decorations of protohistoric pottery. Then, taking inspiration from the different models, the children make their own ceramics using the coil technique. From 7 years old.

At the Agathois Jules-Baudou Museum (rue de la Fraternité), from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., “My first masterpiece” workshop where each budding painter prepares their paint, their brushes, their canvas and leaves observe a selection of paintings and then create your own painting! From 7 years old.

“Shorelines: 20,000 years of evolution of the coastal landscape”: this is the theme of the new exhibition at the Éphèbe museum. A journey through the coastal landscapes of Agde and the secrets of the geomorphological and archaeological transformations of our region, from the end of the last ice age to the present day.

Exhibition (2)
The tourist office in the heart of the town, Place de la Belle Agathoise, offers an exhibition on the Bois de Riquet, an archaeological site discovered in Lézignan-la-Cèbe in 2008, in a basalt quarry, and which contains old remains of a million years. It is visible free of charge until June 29, Monday to Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Exhibition (3)
“Vegetable entrelac, marvelous fibers”: this is the title of the exhibition by the artist Aïdée Bernard who, for around twenty years, has paid homage to plants through her paper creations. An exhibition visible at the Espace Molière until Saturday May 4, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Visits to the Belvedere of the Criée du Grau d’Agde have resumed on the banks of the Hérault. With, from Monday to Friday, two meetings offered to the public: the first on “Behind the scenes of fishing”, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (€7, €6 for 7-11 year olds, free for – 4 years), with the possibility of a seafood tasting afterwards (€15, €14 for 4-11 year olds, not recommended for under 4 year olds); the second visit concerns “The auction at the Criée”, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (€7, €6 for 4-11 year olds, free for under 4 year olds).

A remarkable example of eclectic architecture from the end of the 19th century, listed as a Historic Monument since 1996, Château Laurens was created in 1898 thanks to the boundless imagination of its owner, Emmanuel Laurens.

Baludik is the name of the application that you can download to discover the Agathois territory through treasure hunts and sound walks. Four themes are proposed: “The quest for the king’s corsair”, in relation to the story of the Agathois corsair Claude Terrisse, “The beauty of Agathé Tyché”, to find traces of the Greek, Roman, Visigothic, religious or consular past of the city, “The adventures of Gabi the Gabian in search of sardines” for children and finally the sound walk “Agathé Tyché and Arauris for athletes”, a 9 km route to Notre-Dame de l’Agenouillade .
