Registrations for the Public Finance agent competition (category C) are open until June 3. A college certificate or equivalent is sufficient. How to do ?

The Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP) is launching its annual call for applications for the administrative agent competition. If you’re looking for a career within the state, this is your chance to take the first step.

Who can apply?

The competition is open to everyone, upon obtaining the certificate or an equivalent. This means that even young people (or not) who do not have the baccalaureate or higher education diplomas can apply. This opens the door to a greater diversity of candidates. And, since November 2005, there are no longer age requirements for access to civil service competitions, except in very limited cases. This means that candidates under the age of 18 can participate in the competition, provided they have obtained the National Brevet Diploma (DNB) or an equivalent.

In 2023, 1,809 candidates won the external competition for public finance agents.

What careers are offered?

With more than 50 professions available, the DGFiP offers a diversity of roles ranging from financial and accounting management to tax audit, including customs control and the fight against fraud. The positions are distributed throughout the territory, thus guaranteeing a vital presence of the State throughout France.
