This weekend, the bar-restaurant Eugène’s Counteran institution in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin) and refuge for smokers in winter with its heated terrace at the back, is bowing out.

To leave in style, the establishment organizes an evening on Saturday and a brunch on Sunday.

To reserve, call 03 88 37 95 95 or send an email to: [email protected].

“It’s a page that turns happily”

“Sometimes, when you’ve had a little tour, you have to know how to leave your place to others. On our side, it’s a page that turns happily“, reacts the communications department of Factorythe group to which Le Comptoir d’Eugène belongs, joined by us.

The history of Comptoir d’Eugène is filled with good memories. We remember this Avatar evening, during which all the staff were in blue, there was decoration hanging everywhere… The prohibition evening, too, with burlesque stripping and the terrace at the back that we had completely transformed with carpet and curtain… Le Comptoir d’Eugène was also very well known for its blind tests.

“The brunches were also very popular, so we wanted to end with that,” concludes Faktory’s communications department.

Le Comptoir will become The Queen Elisabeth

According to our colleagues at Pokaait is the British brand Wells & Co, which owns pubs and brasseries in the United Kingdom, “which will take over from Le Comptoir at the beginning of June”. Still according to Pokaa, the establishment should take the name of The Queen Elizabeth.
