The new coalition of the Parisian municipal right attacks the majority of gauche. A week after the discovery of Philippine’s body in the Bois de Boulogne, the main opposition group Union Capitale called for the establishment of security measures in the large green spaces of Paris. An increase in crimes

For opponents of the socialist mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, “the human presence must be considerably reinforced”. These figures of the Parisian right, such as Pierre-Yves Bournazel (Horizons), the mayor of the 17th arrondissement Geoffroy Boulard or the mayor of the 5th arrondissement Florence Berthout, want the creation of “specific brigades […]composed of national and municipal police officers” appears “necessary”.

However, the area benefits from protection. Municipal policies, republican guard, agents .. So many actors who circulate on a daily basis. But these means prove insufficient, according to Union Capitale, a coalition formed in July 2024.

The opposition therefore proposes the opening of “police stations” and the “rehabilitation of hunting lodges”. On the technological level, new camerasvideo surveillance, accompanied by emergency call terminals or even “intelligent lighting” are requested. Among these requests, the first is well underway. The Paris Council voted in favor of an increase in these tools in the capital, and in particular in the Bois de Boulogne.
