The Bukhara Universal Sports Complex hosted, this Sunday, September 29, 2024, the quarter-final of the FIFA Futsal World Cup between Morocco and Brazil. Brazil, first in the world rankings with 1568.41 points, was more realistic despite a clear Moroccan domination in possession.

Brazil opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Marcel, receiving a well-executed corner, placed an unstoppable shot to give his team the advantage. Morocco, despite its domination, failed to realize its opportunities.

In the 18th minute, Leandro Lino, well served by Neguinho, doubled the lead for Brazil. The Moroccans, despite their control of the ball, returned to the locker room two goals behind.

In the second half, the Atlas Lions redoubled their efforts to get back into the match. Their domination continued, but efficiency in front of goal was lacking. In the 29th minute, Dyego Zuffo scored a third goal for Brazil, making the task more difficult for Morocco.

In the 35th minute, Morocco reduced the gap thanks to Otmane Boumezou, who scored the 3-1 goal. This goal rewarded the constant efforts of the Atlas Lions, but it was not enough to turn the tide of the match.

This defeat in the quarter-final puts an end to the Moroccan journey in this competition. Brazil, for its part, continues its road to the semi-finals, where it will face the winner of the match between Ukraine and Venezuela.
