Para-cycling Worlds: Fritsch brings an eighth title to France

What a harvest! As at the Paralympic Games, where it particularly shone, the French para-cycling team was a hit at the Zurich Worlds. The latest to have distinguished himself is Joseph Fritsch, titled in the road race in category H4 this Sunday.

Fritsch brought an eighth gold medal to during these World Cycling Championships which ended on Sunday in Zurich. This is the second at these Worlds for Fritsch who had already won the handbike relay with Florian Jouanny and Johan Quaile at the opening of the Worlds.

It’s also a nice revenge for him who was forced to retire during the Paralympic Games after breaking his wheel in a fall.

Loïc Vergnaud won silver in category H5, as he did during the events held in -sous-. The French delegation leaves Switzerland with a total of 25 medals, a few weeks after the particularly successful Paralympic Games in with 21 medals, including seven gold.

In Zurich, the paracyclists competed in the World Championships on the same dates and crossing the same finish line as the able-bodied riders.
