The alert was given around 3 p.m. this Saturday, September 28, 2024, and help was immediately coordinated by Crossa-Etel (Morbihan). A 9 m launch, named after Battle Fish, based in Noirmoutier (Vendée) sank, after a fire, eight miles south of Belle Île. On board, two people, who, after trying to extinguish the fire, had time to hit their life raft. Fortunately, the two castaways were initially able to be taken in by a ship that was in the area. The SNSM star from Belle Île also visited the area.

Two people airlifted

The two people, one of whom suffered from smoke emanations linked to the fire in the speedboat, were airlifted by the civil security helicopter, the Dragon 29. They were transported, safe and sound, to the port of where they were taken care of. One of the two occupants was taken to the Bretagne-sud hospital center. According to the first elements collected, the fire which completely ravaged the ship was linked to an electrical problem.
