The portion of highway 13 (A13) closed since April 19, which connects highway 86 (A86), in Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine), and Porte de Saint-Cloud, in the west of Paris , will gradually reopen “in the province-Paris direction” from Saturday May 11, announced the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine, Laurent Hottiaux, Monday April 29. This reopening will be reserved “for light vehicles only, provided that all safety conditions are met”said the prefecture in a press release.
“The analyzes carried out today show that the work carried out outside the structure on a nearby construction site is, according to the most probable hypothesis, the causes of this movement of the ground”she added.
The Hauts-de-Seine prefecture announced on the evening of April 18 the closure of this busy section of highway west of Paris for security reasons following “ground movements”. “During a planned closure of the motorway for works, a transverse crack in the A13 in the Saint-Cloud sector was observed”she explained.
