A town in Val-d’Oise calls for donations to restore its church ravaged by fire

While it was in full restoration, the Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul church in Viarmes, in Val-d’Oise, was the victim of a fire eight months ago now. On January 26, the flames ravaged the upper part of the bell tower, and in particular its frame.

The work, which began in 2022 and some of which had been completed before the fire, was due to be completed in 2027. Particularly affected by this fire, the residents were keen to make their contribution to getting the building back on its feet. The municipality therefore approached the Heritage Foundation so that a fundraiser could be set up, reports The Gazette du Val-d’Oise.
