This September 2024, Enedis is deploying new practices to install connection cables to the network of the future Fief-Sauvin wind farm, in Montrevault-sur-Èvre, in Maine-et-Loire. The public service company buries eleven kilometers of reinforced cables – called EDR – which make it possible to avoid installing a bed of sand in the trench.
1,320 m³ less sand
“This saves 120 m³ of sand and five truck round trips, per kilometer of line,” specifies Nicolas Renault, regional delegate director of Enedis in Pays de la Loire. A total of 1,320 m3.
In addition, the group reuses on site, for backfilling, the extracted earth and rubble from old concrete electrical poles. Summary: “A carbon footprint of the construction site reduced by 30%. » This technique is set to become widespread throughout France.
After the connection, the Vent d’Èvre association, supported by 448 citizen shareholders, will deploy the four wind turbines planned for 2025.
