This is how crimes or offenses committed because of the sexual orientation or gender identity of the victim are classified. The figures are bad: according to the statistical service of the Ministry of the Interior, these offenses increased by 13% in 2023. A third of these acts are insults or defamation. Attacks on people and other threats represent 20% of the total. In Yvelines, in 2023 there were no less than 42 anti-LGBT+ offenses, or 16 fewer than the previous year. Also last year, the rate of these acts was 2.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, which is low.
