After the series of accidents on the A7 this Thursday morning due to storm Aitor and its heavy rains, another accident involving a truck causes disruption on the A43 between the Rhône and Isère this afternoon.

“Traffic is disrupted on the A43 towards Lyon after a heavy goods vehicle accident which occurred around 1:30 p.m. at kilometer 13. Two lanes are neutralized and a traffic jam is in place. The rescue operations will last several hours,” warns APRR, which operates the highway.

The accident occurred between the Saint-Quentin-Fallavier tollbooth and Saint-Priest, near the metropolis of Lyon. The truck finds itself in a folded position at the level of its tractor and trailer in the middle of the central reservation, straddling both directions of traffic.

Traffic disrupted in both directions

The accident near Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure (Rhône) causes traffic jams in both directions (to enter and exit the metropolis of Lyon).

Traffic difficulties are expected at the end of the day in the area during rush hour.
