In Gironde, Activ’Inside is expanding its site to broaden its range of food supplements

Specialist in ingredients used in the composition of food supplements, Activ’Inside is now able to diversify its offer, in response to the demands of its customers. The SME inaugurates on Thursday September 26, in Beychac-et-Caillau (), where its headquarters is located, a production unit which will allow it to manufacture finished food supplements. It invested 13 million euros to expand and modernize its site, increasing it from 1,200 to 3,200 square meters.

We needed to upgrade the production lines, allowing them to benefit from new technologies and the major development work that we had carried out to offer gummies in particular.», These supplements come in the form of gummy candies, explains Vincent Bellette, deputy general manager of the SME.

A turnover doubled within four years

Beyond these gummies, based on pectin, the production lines will be intended for the preparation of powders (weighing, mixing, grinding, sieving, bulk packaging), and capsules, as well as packaging: putting into pill bottles and sticks. Finished products, but which remain intended for BtoB markets, the company not yet targeting individuals.

The majority of sales are made through exports, which represent 70% of activity, mainly to China and the United States. Beyond the production of finished products, the new site hosts two laboratories. One is intended for product development, analysis and quality control. The other is an application laboratory, dedicated to promoting the transition to the industrial stage.

In one year, the start-up went from 55 to 74 employees and will still be hiring in 2025, when it will apply 2x8s then 3x8s. The new infrastructure should allow Activ’Inside to double its turnover within four years, which was 10.5 million euros in 2023 and should reach 12 million this year.
