Traffic congestion in Montreal is a real nightmare for Isabelle Maréchal, who deplores the fact that “those who are against cars manage the others” and do not give them time to adapt to new forms of mobility.

“Right now, there are those who are for cars and those who are against them. Those who are against cars manage the others,” the host regretted during her column on LCN on Thursday.

Adding that she has nothing against other means of transport, Isabelle Maréchal asks to “give a little chance”, especially when the transport time quickly increases when wanting to use public transport.

The traffic created by the Presidents Cup, but also the congestion to come until 2029 due to the construction of metro stations for the blue line, challenge the columnist for the future.

“We need to look more broadly, the chaos is everywhere in the city, it’s not just in L’Île-Bizard,” she responded after a press briefing by city spokesperson Philippe Sabourin, who assured that rush hour had gone well on Thursday morning.

“We didn’t experience the same rush hour, Mr. Sabourin, I just want to tell you, for me it was just hell,” she insisted.

“What are we doing with this city?” asked Isabelle Maréchal.
