In Corrèze, this Sunday, April 28, 1,200 homes are still without electricity in Corrèze, including a third in the small town of Saint-Chamant after the passage of violent winds on Saturday.
When you wake up this Sunday, April 28, 2024, 1,200 households in Corrèze are still without electricity due to violent winds which blew across Limousin the day before. “We have more than twenty incidents in the department,” indicates Philippe Zobel, head of the Enedis Limousin office.
Nearly 400 households are located in the small village of Saint-Chamant, located about forty kilometers east of Brive-la-Gaillarde.
A generator will be installed: “We will repair later. We can take the time to repair when it is simply a matter of downed wires. We maximize the restoration of as many customers as possible during the day”, assures Philippe Zobel.
Around ten Enedis teams have been mobilized to restore power and should receive reinforcement from Haute-Vienne in the afternoon. Pruning companies are also on site to remove trees that have fallen on lines or roads.
Yellow thunderstorm vigilance was lifted this morning in Limousin by Météo France. The gendarmerie received around 200 calls but no accidents or victims have yet been reported.
This Saturday, April 27 in the evening, Enedis recorded around 4,000 homes without electricity due to the violent winds and rain which fell in Limousin.
