A year has passed since the Luzech town hall equipped itself with a registration station to collect passport and/or CNI (national identity card) applications. This service, already highly appreciated by residents who can submit their files there, has just been expanded by taking the digital route. For two weeks, the municipality has volunteered to complete its administrative services. Luzech town hall is among the very first municipalities in Lot to offer the possibility of certifying its France Identity account.
France Identity is a new public service allowing you to create your sovereign digital identity, in order to extend the uses of the identity card in the digital world (by proving your identity during online procedures), but also to enable new daily uses without having to physically present your card (during roadside checks or parcel collection). This application, which can be used from a compatible smartphone, is based on the identity data present in the electronic CNI and helps limit the risks of theft by proving one’s identity online. It is free and only available to adults with a CNI issued since March 2021, also allowing them to generate single-use identity documents.
The certified France Identity account is obtained after activation via the application, followed by verification of your identity at the town hall (with QR code, title and fingerprints). This procedure makes it possible to confirm that the account user is indeed the legitimate holder of the associated CNI. It should be noted that the certified account will make it possible to generate a 100% dematerialized voting proxy for the European elections next June.
This new service is available at Luzech town hall on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., but also on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
