It is in this context that the Upper Town requalification project. It will ultimately allow the dialogue between the upper town and the lower town, where the main economic activity is located. This harmonization of the two entities promises to create a dynamic balance, All preserving historical identity of each.
The Princerie Museum or the High Citadel renovated
Iconic places like the Princerie museum or the High Citadel will be renovated and open to the public as part of this initiative.
There public meeting held this Wednesday April 24 was the opportunity to present this requalification project. Through urban walks, consultations and fruitful exchanges, residents actively contributed to defining the contours of this transformation.
With almost 2000 opinions expressed and more than 1300 votes in the pre-project phasethis participatory approach demonstrates the collective commitment to the future of the city.
The work, jointly financed by the City of Verdun (up to 50%), the statethere Grand Est Region and the Department of Meusewill begin soon.
These will include the renewal of sanitation and electrical networksas well as a specific lighting system.
