The 6e National Vintage Vehicle Day is organized by the City of Montmirail in avenues of the commune, under the patronage of the French Federation of Vintage Vehicles (FFVE). In 2023, no less than 350 machines will have been installed in the 1D and 2e avenues of the town, all under the sign of diversity: from the oldest to Youngtimersgoing through the most luxurious and the most modest or from the largest machines to the smallest, from the most classic to the most original…

Already nearly 300 machines registered

For this 2024 edition, already more than 280 machines are registered at the time of writing this article. These include cars from the 1910s to the 1990s, but also two-wheelers and a few tricycles. Mechanical enthusiasts will also find tractors and agricultural machinery, but also utility vehicles and super heavy duty vehicles, as well as military vehicles.

This day will also include backcamping, a pedal car circuit, a barn outing installation and a few other curiosities to discover on site.

For its part, the City of Montmirail confirms that the event “remains in the current spirit with free exhibitions offered to the public without commercial activities apart from the refreshment bar and small restaurants, the profits of which will be donated to the GFT. So, there will be no parts exchange or dealer stands. »

The organization of this day relied on local structures in order to offer a moment rich in materials on display. In the afternoon of this Sunday, the town will receive a delegation from the FFVE for the Labeling of the Town of Montmirail as a welcoming town for vintage vehicles.

Consequences of the Vigipirate plan

Due to security measures linked to the reinforced Vigipirate plan, currently in force, traffic modifications will be implemented: part of avenue de l’Empereur will be closed to traffic with a diversion via rue de la Round. Access to the exhibition space for old vehicles will be from the top of the avenues, opposite the Skatepark.

See you in Montmirail this Sunday April 28, 2024 for the sixth edition of this day dedicated to old mechanics.
